The hotel filled up with people who had to evacuate their homes. Lots of people walking around with dogs on leashes. Some people could look out the windows from the upper floors and see the fires approaching their houses. Smoke was choking. Traffic was a dister with many main roads closed.<BR/><BR/>I used to love to go to southern Cal. as a teenager, the beach and all that were great. Between the traffic and the fires I'm in no hurry to return. <BR/><BR/>What are the advantages of living in Cal? (Still) overpriced homes, horrible traffic, now fires.
