All I gotta say is that Vijay is indeed a cheater...a cheater on the Asian tour in 1985 and a cheater on his wife in 2001. Did you hear about the illegitimate kid he fathered in Bangladesh? Purportedly, while playing in a charity event to raise money for medical supplies to poverty-stricken children, he cheated on his wife with a fan after missing the cut and failing to earn any money in the event.

was the kid of a friend, according
to what I read. And when you're poor
and broke and living off the support
of friends, what do you do?. How
can he defend himself without
hurting the kid? I don't know the
truth behind the story - but by all
accounts it was just him losing his
temper afterwards that cost him the
eligibility.

And wow. When you're poor and bankrupt,
it's hard to pay your debts. God forgive
us for being so. Not once, not once,
would anyone ever have accused him of

Interesting, I didn't know about his deadbeatedness in Australia. What is also interesting is this line from the SI article you linked to:
